Miscellaneous Hybrids

Many of our offerings in this section are intergenerics that have been hybridized to bring our customers something new and exciting. They are vigorous growers and will thrive under warm to intermediate growing conditions.

	Encyclia Exotic's Leprechaun 'Pauwela' x sib We made this hybrid to bring down the large, bulky size and shorten the rambling flower spike habit of Encyclia cochleata. 	Cyc. herrenhusanum x Mormodes Exotic Treat This hybrid should produce yellow to mahogany flowers with black spotting throughout the flowers, which should also be fragrant! 	Galabstia Green Tyger x Menadenium labiosum Meddling with Mother Nature often produces the most unusual results, and this is one of them! Both parents belong to the zygopetalum family, however, because both parents are smaller plants (Menadenium is almost a miniature!), these plants won't take up a lot of space. 	Onc. croesus x Onc. cheirophorum The majority of these plants should be plants that will reach approximately 7" in height, not quite a miniature, but very compact to miniature growers! Flowers we've seen thus far look like the mother plant and they have already reached flowering size in their 2" pots. 	Onc. Genting Angel x Onc. Barbie 'Patches' Many of these have been producing light pinks with fine, dark, rusty mahogany spotting. The spotting is the variable here, some have many, some have none! We've planted these in 2" pots with medium sized bark, and they're loving it. Flowering size in 2" pots. 	Onc. [lanceanum x (triclaocidin x lanceanum)] xx Onc. lanceanum Onc. lanceanum is a large, mule ear oncidium. With this hybrid, we're hoping to decrease the size of the plant and still keep the size of the flowers and its eye- catching, branching inflorescences! 	Onc. Golden Sunray x Rdcm. (Crystal Veil x Spring Bouquet) These are miniature equitant oncidiums. 	Den. Menehune Charm 'Exotic Orchids' x self This is a selfing of a primary hybrid between Den. thyrsiflorum and Den. palpebrae, resulting in more flowers per spike. Available in 2" pots. 	Epi. Hula Dancer 'Paradise Orchids' This clone is a result of hybridizing a standard reed stem epidendrum with Epi. stamfordianum.
